Call your Representative
- Suggested script: "Hi, my name is________. I'm calling to find out Congressman ______'s position on HR 4170 The Student Loan Forgiveness Act of 2012.
- If they have no position yet: “Thank you very much. I will continue to call until the Congresswoman/man has had a chance to be briefed on the legislation”
Write or fax a letter
- Tell them why H.R.4170 is important to you and how it will help our nations economy. Ask for their support; ask them to cosponsor this bill.
Twitter blast the Reps!
- Urge them to support #HR4170. Add hashtag: #StudentDebt
